Plumbago auriculata / Blue Plumbago
Plumbago auriculata / Blue plumbago / Jazmin azul is a semi-climber that grows quickly to about 1.8m (6ft). It has oblong smooth pale green leaves that grow to 5cm (2in). The inflorescence consists of many sky blue flowers. It is a delicate plant and does not support the frosts. It is best to prune mostly in the autumn, but it can also be pruned in the spring. The type of soil is not overly important as long as it has good drainage and is watered regularly in the summer. To get flowers the plant requires a warm site in full sun or partial shade.
